Electrolux 8.0 Electric Dryer with 10 Dry Programs ELFE7537AT

Dryers have become taller in the decade since our last purchase. This was the only full size dryer that would fit under our laundry room counter.

First and foremost - Electrolux should consider packing their driers better. It came wrapped into stretch with two pieces of styrofoam. The first that was deliverer (I bought it in another place) came severely damaged and was rejected. The second (bought from Electrolux) came slightly bent, but it was on the back and accepted the delivery. Damage during shipment should not come as a surprise as wrapped in stretch is not how you deliver 800$ worth of heavy appliance. Use carton box! Second issue - when drying relatively heavy load the machine makes scratching noice, it seems that internal space between frame and bucket is very tiny, and any slight load may push the basket too close to the edge where it scratches over frame. All in all, I?ll have to see how this machine lasts. Lastly, the cycles are very long. My 20 yo drier from Maytag dried full load in 35-45 mins, Electrolux needs twice as much time. On a bright side - it looks cool, smells new and has light inside (I like it a lot).

friends of ours have these in 2 of their homes and we now know why, they are great! get a good plumber to help install and stack them to save space. get the straps for the back to make them more secure.

I love the 15 minute speed fry as well as the automatic dry time, it?s nice to be able to finally say goodbye to damp clothes.

It dry's well. Large capacity. With a dryer sheet much pet hair gets removed. Cloths are fairly wrinkle free, as good or better than previous dryer.
